Tournament Rules

These are the standard rules that each of our tournaments will follow.

Universal tournament rules

These rules will carry across all games unless stated otherwise at the event.

Pausing the game during your match will cause you to forfeit your match. Please be careful of this. Please declare that you're going to do a button check and you may change your controls at the beginning of the match.

If a controller malfunction occurs the match will stop so tests can be done. If the player cannot find a controller they are comfortable with they will be forced to forfeit their match.

Games will not be decided by in game judgement systems if a double KO/tie occurs. If a tie occurs the players will have one more match for a tie breaker.

All games will be played with the time limit on.

Who ever runs out of balls first loses if their score is lower. If the person who has run out of balls has the higher score, their opponent may continue to bat until they run out of balls to try and beat their score. If they cannot beat their opponents score they lose.

Team games

Occasionally we may hold team tournaments in the above games. The rules for these events are as follows:

For team events, such as 2v2/3v3 Super Street Fighter IV, each team member will select a character and must remain the same character throughout the tournament. Grooves/assists/isms or other in game mechanics can be switched between battles. No duplicate characters on the same team, for example if player a chooses Ken then no other member of the team can select Ken. Players will rotate to the back of their line up whether they win or lose. For example if player a loses to player b, player a is out of the battle and player b moves to the back of his/her's lineup. The next players from each team will then play in the next battle. This will repeat until a team is out of players and is declared the losing team.

Character costumes/colors or other aesthetic settings that do not affect game play can be switched at any time.

Disc Golf

Games will be played as par 3 unless specified differently in the Events page.

There will be no do-overs. Once the tournament has begun you are committed to your scores.

Players that make par will throw first at the following hole.

Additional rules will follow the Professional Disc Golf Association standards. Visit their webpage here for more details.
